MobiNexus and Roads4All strengthen collaboration to support safer and more connected mobility
MobiNexus is pleased to announce a new collaboration with the Horizon Europe project Roads4All, creating new opportunities for knowledge exchange, stakeholder engagement and collaboration across the European mobility community.
Although the two projects address different aspects of the mobility ecosystem, they share a common ambition: supporting the transition towards safer, more sustainable and more inclusive mobility through collaboration, innovation and the active involvement of stakeholders. By working together, MobiNexus and Roads4All will promote knowledge exchange, strengthen stakeholder engagement and maximise the impact of their respective activities across the European mobility landscape.
Roads4All: Building a New Traffic Safety Culture
Roads4All (2025–2028) is a Horizon Europe Research and Innovation project bringing together 14 partners from eight countries to promote a new traffic safety culture across Europe.
The project takes a holistic approach to road safety, recognising that safer mobility depends not only on infrastructure, legislation and technology, but also on behaviours, relationships and the cultural norms that influence how people use transport systems. By combining scientific research, education, community engagement, participatory methods and innovative technologies, Roads4All is developing practical tools and approaches that support lasting behavioural change.
These solutions will be co-created and tested in five "Living Roads" located in Tallinn, Rome, Zagreb, Novi Sad and the Region of Central Macedonia. These real-world demonstration sites bring together public authorities, businesses, schools, researchers, community organisations and citizens to design, test and evaluate solutions that address local mobility challenges while generating knowledge that can be transferred across Europe.
The Roads4All Community of Practice
A central pillar of the project is the Roads4All Community of Practice (CoP), an open, multi-actor network designed to bring together professionals, organisations and individuals with an interest in road safety, mobility culture and behavioural change.
The Community of Practice already brings together 62 members organised across eight thematic clusters covering behaviour, culture, policy, technology, education, workplaces, transport operations and systems thinking. It provides a collaborative space where members exchange knowledge, discuss emerging challenges, learn from peers across Europe and gain early access to project developments and results.
The CoP reflects Roads4All's commitment to ensuring that the knowledge generated by the project extends beyond the consortium, fostering collaboration between researchers, policymakers, industry, public authorities and civil society. Organisations and individuals interested in contributing to this growing European network are encouraged to join the Community of Practice.
Looking Ahead
As part of this new collaboration, MobiNexus and Roads4All will explore opportunities for joint dissemination, stakeholder engagement and knowledge-sharing activities, helping to connect their respective communities and maximise the impact of both Horizon Europe projects.
MobiNexus also looks forward to contributing to the Roads4All Community of Practice and supporting the exchange of ideas between stakeholders working towards safer, smarter and more sustainable mobility.
