The Symposium Road Accidents Prevention will take place on 14–15 October 2026 in Novi Sad, Serbia, bringing together researchers, policy-makers, road safety professionals and other key stakeholders committed to improving road safety worldwide. Organised by leading Serbian academic institutions and national road safety organisations, the symposium provides an international platform for sharing knowledge, exchanging best practices and promoting more effective road safety management.
The 2026 edition will focus on the Safe System Approach, addressing five key pillars: multimodal transport and land-use planning, safe road infrastructure, safe road use, safe vehicles, and post-crash response. The event aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and support the development of safer, more resilient mobility systems, in line with the Global Plan for the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021–2030.
