The MobiNexus project is designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry to foster innovation in the transport and mobility sector especially focusing on the triple revolution in mobility. This ecosystem will drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge sustainable mobility solutions critical for achieving Europe's climate neutrality targets by 2050. The project focuses on the integration of shared mobility, transport electrification, and autonomous vehicles to catalyse a triple mobility revolution, ensuring urban transport systems are efficient, sustainable, and aligned with the European Green Deal.
The MobiNexus project’s methodology is designed to create a seamless and dynamic integration between academic institutions and industry stakeholders within Europe's innovation ecosystems, specifically in the transport and mobility sector by developing the MobiNexus platfom. This will be built upon the Mobility Innovation Network (MIN) that was developed in Inno-Mob19 project https://inno-mob.net . MIN currently serves as a valuable resource for mapping and connecting various actors within the mobility sector. It offers a foundational network that links stakeholders, providing a basis for collaboration and innovation. Its existing database and user interface already facilitate the identification of key players and potential partners, making it a solid starting point for further development. This approach not only accelerates the project's timeline but also amplifies its impact, ensuring that the enhanced platform meets the evolving needs of the transport and mobility sector while driving forward innovation and collaboration:
- Established Network and Foundation:The Inno-Mob network includes 500 members / diverse range of actors such as educational institutions, start-ups, investors, and industry leaders. Leveraging this existing network provides MobiNexus with a solid foundation for further development and expansion. Instead of investing significant time and resources into building a network from scratch, MobiNexus can capitalize on these pre-existing connections. This allows the project to focus on enhancing and scaling functionalities, ensuring a quicker and more efficient path to impactful innovation.
- Proven Utility and User Base: The MIN platform has already demonstrated its effectiveness in connecting various ecosystem actors and facilitating meaningful collaborations. This proven utility means that MobiNexus can immediately engage with an established user base, providing a ready pool of participants for new initiatives and improvements. Leveraging this existing user base ensures immediate feedback and engagement, which are critical for iterative improvements. This feedback loop helps in fine-tuning functionalities to better meet user needs and preferences, enhancing the platform’s overall utility and user satisfaction.
- Alignment with Project Goals: The synergy with Inno-Mob ensures that the platform becomes a cohesive and focused innovation ecosystem, driving forward the shared goals of sustainable and cutting-edge mobility solutions.
The improvements envisaged are:
- AI-Powered Networking and Matchmaking: The integration of advanced AI algorithms will be a cornerstone of the platform’s enhancement. MobiNexus will offer more precise and personalised matches, facilitating more effective collaborations and partnerships that align closely with users’ needs and project goals.
Real-Time Interactive Mapping: Upgrading the platform’s mapping functionalities to include real-time data updates and interactive features will provide users with immediate insights into the current status and activities of ecosystem actors. - Immersive Collaboration Features: Adding tools for collaborations, feedback, online workshops, citizen lab space directly through the platform will foster a more hands-on approach to innovation.
- Enhanced User Experience and Interface: Redesigning the user interface to be more intuitive and user-friendly, based on feedback from current users, will significantly enhance user engagement and satisfaction. A more accessible and easy-to-navigate platform will encourage greater usage and collaboration, making it a central hub for innovation activities.
- Knowledge Exchange and Training Modules: Integrating modules for knowledge exchange and training, such as ewebinars, and interactive tutorials, will help build the skills and knowledge of ecosystem actors.
- Enhanced Security and Data Privacy: Implementing robust security measures and data privacy protocols to protect user information and project data will be crucial. Ensuring the safety and confidentiality of data will build user trust and compliance with regulations, encouraging more organisations to engage with the platform.
